Standing in the middle of the road looking up the hill. The scene playing before me caught my eye and immediately felt that I had to capture this moment. Because I'm looking up a hill the horizon is very close the whole scene is located at the horizon. The guard standing in the middle of the road seems to protect the border between here and there, the horizon being the border. At that exact location I took the photo of the Cimetière next to the sea. The two people walking in the shadow on the left side of the picture seem to have secretly crossed the border. The other people in this image are staged as in a play, all minding their own business is a theatrical kind of way.
